Kate H.

Kate H. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Kate started their career as a Software Quality Engineer at CompuServe in 1995, where they worked until 1999. After that, they joined America Online as a Software Quality Engineer and worked there until 2001. From 2002 to 2003, Kate H. worked as a Quality Engineering consultant at NCS Pearson. In 2003, they joined Safeware Engineering as a Quality Assurance Engineer (Consultant) until 2004.

In 2004, Kate H. started working at Universal Avionics, where they held various roles. Kate started as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer and later became an AS9100 Internal Auditor. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Quality Assurance Supervisor, and eventually held the position of Quality Assurance Manager from 2018 to 2021.

In 2021, Kate H. ventured into freelance writing and worked as a Freelance Writer. In 2022, they joined Wizards of the Coast as a Product Quality Assurance employee, where they are currently working. Additionally, from 2004 to 2012, Kate H. also worked as a Freelance Food and Travel Writer while being self-employed.

Kate H. attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania from 1985 to 1989, where they studied Communication. Kate obtained a Certification in Certified Information Systems Auditor from ISACA in 2022. In terms of additional certifications, they completed the following courses: Digital Publishing Fundamentals and Learning InCopy at Lynda.com in January 2017, Software Considerations in Airborne Systems & Equipment Certification: DO178C at RTCA, Inc. in June 2016, Aerospace Auditor Transition Training AS9100 at the International Aerospace Quality Group in August 2013, and Foundations: Understanding AS9100 at the International Aerospace Quality Group in July 2012. Kate also completed Audacity 101; however, the specific month and year of completion are not provided.
