Marci Goolsby is a highly experienced sports medicine physician currently serving as the Director of Sports Medicine for the WNBA and President of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. With a career spanning over a decade at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Marci leads the Women’s Sports Medicine Center and provides consultations as a sports medicine physician. Previous roles include team physician for organizations such as the New York Liberty and US Biathlon, and participation in the Female Athlete Triad Coalition. Marci completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at UCLA Health System following a Family Medicine residency at the same institution. Marci holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience from UC San Diego.
