Jorge Sanchez-Ramirez is an International Operations Petrophysicist at Woodside Energy, specializing in petrophysical operations and reservoir characterization for fields in Trinidad and Tobago and the Gulf of Mexico since June 2022. Prior to this role, Jorge held multiple positions at BHP from 2009 to June 2022, including Principal Petrophysicist for Eastern Canada Exploration and GOM Deepwater Production, where responsibilities included developing reservoir petrophysical models and participating in data strategy initiatives. Experience also includes work as a Senior Petrophysicist focusing on unconventional studies in Eagle Ford shale, as well as foundational roles at Schlumberger, where expertise in advanced logging tools was developed. Jorge holds a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
