Parveen Kumar

Parveen Kumar, PhD, is a highly experienced professional in the field of physical and computational chemistry, currently serving as the Program Head of Sustainable Batteries and previously as Senior Program Manager for Electric Mobility at WRI India since October 2018. Prior to this, Parveen held the position of Senior Research Scientist at CSTEP, Bangalore, between April 2014 and June 2018, focusing on battery materials and the electric vehicle ecosystem. Experience includes a foundational role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science from December 2006 to April 2014, and earlier positions as DST Young Scientist and Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Parveen's research interests encompass a wide range of topics including molecular dynamics simulation, energy storage, electrolytes, and solar energy, supported by a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia obtained in 2006.
