Dave DeWitt serves as the Managing Editor, Features Editor, and Supervising Editor at North Carolina Public Radio-WUNC since 2003, overseeing coverage of key areas such as politics, environment, and education across various platforms. Co-creator, editor-in-chief, and co-host of the award-winning Tested Podcast, DeWitt has also reported on multiple beats, including serving as Raleigh Bureau Chief and contributing pieces to NPR, WBUR, Marketplace, and BBC World Service. Previous roles include Editor In Chief and Publisher at Basketball America, and Editor In Chief/Vice President for Interactive Media at VilCom Interactive Media/Tar Heel Sports Network. An author of a book on Carolina basketball published by Rowman and Littlefield, DeWitt also worked as a freelance sportswriter, contributing to the New York Times. DeWitt's early career includes positions at The College of Wooster as Assistant Director of Admissions and Assistant Basketball Coach and is a graduate of Denison University.
