Mitchell Northam

Mitchell Northam is a seasoned digital producer and writer with extensive experience in sports journalism and content creation. Currently serving as a Digital Producer for North Carolina Public Radio-WUNC since June 2020, Northam creates original content and manages stories for the station's website and broadcasts. In addition, a part-time writer for USA TODAY Sports Media Group, Northam covers college football, women's basketball, and pop culture. Previous roles include Contributor and Site Manager for SB Nation, Digital Content Producer for Turner Sports, and Staff Editor for Pro Soccer USA, where coverage focused on professional soccer in the U.S. Northam also has a strong background in reporting for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and has worked in various capacities, including sports reporting and content production at Gannett and iHeartMedia. Northam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts from Salisbury University and an Associate of Arts from Wor-Wic Community College.
