Carol Dawson

Carol Dawson is an accomplished engineering manager with extensive experience in software development and IT project management. Currently serving at Xero since March 2019, Carol has taken on roles as an engineering manager, development team lead, and developer. Prior to this, Carol worked at the University of Edinburgh's Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre from 2009 to March 2019 as a senior IT developer, focusing on full-stack development for cancer research and clinical trials. Earlier experience includes a software developer position at Bulbecks Ltd, where Carol led projects for commercial websites and databases, and a senior object engineer role at International Object Solutions Ltd, where Carol taught IT courses throughout the UK and Europe. Carol holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Physics from Newcastle University.
