Maikel Beerens

Maikel Beerens is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the medical technology sector. As the Owner and CTIO of Xilloc Medical since November 2009, Maikel Beerens has played a pivotal role in transforming the implant industry by facilitating the rapid production of patient-specific implants to address skull bone defects. Prior to establishing Xilloc, Maikel Beerens worked at Maastricht Instruments B.V. as an engineer, collaborating closely with medical researchers in high-tech solution development from July 2006 to February 2011. Additional experience includes project involvement at Custom IMD focused on innovative biomaterials and manufacturing technologies and previous roles at Instrument Development Engineering & Evaluation and Medtronic. Maikel Beerens holds a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from KU Leuven and a degree in Medical Technology from HTS.
