Prior to this role, Howard was the Director of Marketing & Operations for the GTE Suncoast Classic, a Senior PGA TOUR event in Tampa, Florida, from 1989 to 1995. Educationally, Howard obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of South Florida between 1982 and 1986 and an Associate of Arts in Theater from Miami Dade College from 1979 to 1981.
