Susan Alexander is a board member at the YMCA of Greater New York. Susan has over 30 years of experience in human resources and organizational development.

Alexander began their career as a deputy director for the City of Indianapolis before moving to Bendix Corp. There, they served as the director of human resources for the company's corporate headquarters.

In 1984, Alexander joined Sotheby's as the EVP and CHRO. During their time with the company, they helped to transform it from a sleepy, 250-year old English company into a global luxury brand with a unified culture among 1600 people in 40 countries. Susan also implemented corporate governance initiatives, such as a code of conduct, anonymous ethics reporting, compensation committee / ISS review, anti-harassment training, etc.

In 2017, Alexander left Sotheby's to join the Ambassador Theatre Group as a senior consultant. Susan held this position until 2018 when they returned to the YMCA of Greater New York as a board member.

Susan Alexander's educational career includes attending the Distinguished Career Institute at Stanford University, earning a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati, and completing a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Indiana University Bloomington.
