Lorena Sanchez

Lorena Sanchez is a seasoned professional in the biotechnology and food innovation sectors, currently serving as a Scientific Project Manager at Ÿnsect since September 2015, where responsibilities include building strategic scientific evidence for insect-based nutritional and health claims, as well as coordinating various trials with research partners. Previously, Lorena held roles such as Product Innovation Manager, overseeing R&D teams focused on sustainable product development, and Senior Scientist, emphasizing enzymatic extraction and modification of insect materials. Earlier experience includes a postdoctoral position at IBt - Instituto de Biotecnología UNAM, where methods for analyzing therapeutic protein biosimilars were developed, and project management for sustainable biofuel production at Centro de Ciencias Genomicas. Lorena completed a PhD in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
