Marcus P. is a Research Engineer in the Advanced Materials Group at Zap Energy since July 2022. Previously, as a Graduate Fellow at Idaho National Laboratory from August 2019 to May 2022, Marcus P. designed and characterized multi-principal element alloys and collaborated with the Michigan Ion Beam Laboratory on proton irradiation studies. At the University of Utah, from August 2016 to May 2022, Marcus P. served as a Graduate Research Assistant, applying machine learning techniques to develop novel superhard materials. Marcus P. began the professional career as a Pharmaceutical Chemist I at Pharmatek from March 2015 to June 2016, conducting various preformulation and physical/chemical characterization studies. Marcus P. holds a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Utah and a BS in Chemistry from Westminster University.
