Mark Petersen

Mark Petersen is a highly experienced scientist with a robust background in synthetic and medicinal chemistry. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Zymeworks Inc. since April 2017, Mark previously held positions as a Scientist in the Medicinal Chemistry division at the University of Utah's Synthetic and Medicinal Chemistry Core. Mark's extensive academic journey includes a postdoctoral fellowship in the Michael Kay lab at the University of Utah and a graduate student role focusing on organic synthesis in the Keck group. Mark earned a PhD in Synthetic Chemistry from the University of Utah, as well as a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Organic Chemistry from Northern Arizona University. Additionally, Mark has contributed to education as a graduate teaching assistant at Northern Arizona University, specializing in organic chemistry labs.
