David Zhang

David Zhang serves as the Chief Strategy Officer at Abivax since July 2024, following a notable tenure as Senior Vice President of Biometrics and Data Management at Alumis, where substantial growth from a start-up to a phase 3 ready enterprise was achieved. As President of the Bay Area Biopharma Statistics Workshop from December 2020 to December 2022, David Zhang led the organizing committee for a significant annual conference. Previous roles include Vice President positions at Bristol Myers Squibb and MyoKardia, where advanced analytics capabilities were built, and pivotal clinical initiatives were spearheaded. David Zhang possesses extensive experience in biometrics, data management, and statistical analysis, supported by a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from UCLA and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University.
