Yingying Liu has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 1996, they worked as a pharmacist at TongJi Hospital, Huazhong University of Science and Technology until 1999. yingying then joined Fox Chase Cancer Center as a Technician from 2002 to 2003. In 2013, they joined Rutgers University as a Postdoctoral Scientist, where they conducted research on the regulatory mechanisms of mitochondria functions. In 2017, they transitioned to Admera Health, starting as a Scientist I and gradually moving up the ranks to become an Associate Director, Director, and currently a Senior Director. Their responsibilities at Admera Health include laboratory management and overseeing research projects.

Yingying Liu holds a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from TongJi Medical College of HUST, which they received from 1992 to 1996. Later, from 1999 to 2001, they pursued a Master's Degree in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Arizona. Lastly, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in molecular cellular Pharmacology at Rutgers University between 2004 and 2010.
