Wayne Hess

Wayne Hess serves as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at The AES Corporation since 2003, focusing on international legal transactions related to renewable energy projects and LNG, particularly in the MCAC region and Southeast Asia, while leading M&A, project finance, and corporate finance matters. Prior to this role, Wayne Hess was a Senior Associate Attorney at Shaw Pittman, specializing in venture capital and M&A, and held associate attorney positions at Weil Gotshal and Manges, as well as Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP, concentrating on general corporate work, securities, and M&A. Wayne Hess holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University, and a Juris Doctor from St. John's University School of Law.
