Benjamin Scott is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University. His research interest is to develop and apply new technologies to investigate the neural mechanisms that produce complex learned behavior. Currently, he studies evidence-based decision making in the laboratories of David Tank and Carlos Brody at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute. As a graduate student with Carlos Lois, he developed methods for avian transgenesis and identified a novel form of neuronal migration in the adult brain using genetically engineered retroviruses. He earned his PhD in Neuroscience from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2009 and his BA from the University of Chicago in 2001.
