Ying Sun began their career at Enanta Pharmaceuticals in 2002 as a Principal Scientist, where they led various projects related to HCV protease inhibitors and novel macrolide antibiotics until 2009. In 2009, they joined Ambrx as an Associate Director of Chemistry.
Ying Sun obtained a Master's Degree in Medicinal Chemistry from Peking Union Medical College in 1994 and went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the same field from the same institution in 2001.
