Gitte Juel Friis

Gitte Juel Friis is an accomplished regulatory affairs professional with extensive experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as Head RA at Ambu A/S since March 2021, Gitte has previously held positions such as Department Manager at Novo Nordisk, where responsibilities included regulatory affairs for diabetes and obesity products. Gitte has also served as Senior Director of Global Regulatory Affairs at Radiometer and as Director at the same company, focusing on a wide range of medical products. Earlier roles included leading regulatory affairs for Coloplast's Urology, Ostomy, and Wound Care products. Gitte began an academic career as an Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, specializing in chemical derivatization of drugs and peptides. Gitte holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Copenhagen and an eMBA from AVT Business School.
