Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel - Performance & Transformation at American Electric Power since November 2021, Michael previously held the position of Regulatory Counsel at The AES Corporation from October 2015 to November 2021, where significant contributions included strategic legal advisement, legislative analysis, and successful negotiations in complex regulatory matters. Prior roles included Assistant Consumers' Counsel at the Office of the Ohio Consumers' Counsel and Assistant Attorney General in the Constitutional Offices and Consumer Protection Sections of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Michael's foundational legal training was completed at the University of Dayton School of Law, where a Juris Doctor was earned, along with a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Dayton.
