Susan Bowles Therriault

Susan Bowles Therriault, Ed.D., serves as an Institute Fellow in Education Policy at the American Institutes for Research, where involvement spans over 15 years in designing and implementing education systems and policies. As Principal Investigator for initiatives funded by the Institute of Education Sciences and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Susan guides rigorous research projects aimed at enhancing K-12 academic recovery strategies and understanding the community impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Leadership roles include directing federal technical assistance centers and overseeing significant research and capacity-building projects to improve educational outcomes. Susan holds multiple degrees in Education Policy & Leadership from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has a diverse educational background that includes international studies at the University of Copenhagen.
