Alison Crane is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal field. Since July 2016, Alison has served as Deputy General Counsel at the American Psychiatric Association, following positions as Assistant General Counsel and Contracts & Procurement Attorney. Prior to this, Alison practiced as an attorney and associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP from September 2008 to October 2015. Alison began legal career as a Stimson Fellow at the Legal Aid Justice Center's JustChildren Program, and also gained experience as a summer intern at the Legal Assistance Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago. Alison holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Yale Law School, obtained from 2004 to 2007, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Virginia, earned from 2000 to 2004.
