Joe Docherty

Joe Docherty is an accomplished HSEQ Director with extensive experience in health, safety, environment, and quality management within transport infrastructure and local government sectors. Currently serving as the HSEQ Director for the Transport Infrastructure Business Unit at Amey since January 2013, Joe has successfully led the implementation of HSEQ strategies across numerous contracts in the UK and Ireland. Previous roles include HSEQ Director for Highways and Head of HSEQ for Local Government at Amey, as well as a Vice Chair for Safer Highways. Joe's career began with Glasgow City Council, where responsibilities included policy development and safety management for a large employee base. Education credentials include a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from Glasgow Caledonian University and a NEBOSH General Certificate from Glasgow College of Building and Printing.
