Julia E. Heath is a seasoned professional in the entertainment and nightlife sectors, currently serving as the Policy & Outreach Manager for the Mayor's Office of Nighttime Economy in New Orleans and as the Cabana & Box Suites Manager for Outside Lands. With a robust background, Julia has held key leadership positions including Membership Director for the National Independent Venue Association, where contributions led to significant membership growth and legislative successes, such as the Save Our Stages Act. As the Founder and Operations Director of the California Capitol Venue Coalition, Julia advocated for venue inclusion in grant programs and facilitated regulatory reforms. Another Planet Entertainment, LLC (Another Planet) was created on July 18, 2003 when Gregg W. Perloff, President/CEO of Bill Graham Presents, left to build his own company. Shortly thereafter he was joined by longtime colleagues at Bill Graham Presents Sherry Wasserman, former Senior VP and Head of Concert Production at BGP, and Steve Welkom, former Senior VP of Administration and Business Development for BGP. In November of that year, Allen Scott and his concert promotion company, Mystery Machine Productions merged with APE, solidifying the company's foundation. On August 16, 2003, Another Planet, in a collaborative effort with Giants Enterprises, presented its first concert featuring Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band at Pacific Bell Park in San Francisco. Another Planet was selected soon after by Dave Matthews Band to produce and promote its major outdoor benefit concert at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco on September 12, 2004. Another Planet is the exclusive promoter for the Greek Theatre, an 8,500 capacity outdoor amphitheatre in Berkeley, the Fox Theater in Oakland, the 2,800 capacity venue, The Independent, a 500 capacity nightclub in San Francisco, and the 8,000 capacity Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena at Harveys. In 2010, APE was honored to be awarded the exclusive contract to operate the historic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, a flexible capacity multi-use event and concert space that holds up to 8,500. Another Planet has also successfully produced two major festivals in San Francisco – Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival (beginning in 2008) and Treasure Island Music Festival (beginning in 2007).
