ASSOCIATION TO BENEFIT CHILDREN
Courtney Kates, LCAT, ATR-BC, currently serves as a Child and Family Therapist at the Association to Benefit Children since February 2023 and operates an art therapy private practice since February 2021. Kates has previously worked as a Psychotherapist at Union Settlement and Mental Health Providers of Western Queens, Inc. from 2020 to 2019, and as a Case Planner/Art Therapist at Good Shepherd Services in 2016. Additional experience includes roles as a Counseling Team Art Therapist at the School of Visual Arts and Art Therapy Internships at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and Coalition for Hispanic Family Services. Kates holds a Master of Professional Studies in Art Therapy from the School of Visual Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts and Spanish from Binghamton University.
