Simon Coles is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in equity research and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Head of European Technology Hardware and Semiconductor Research at Barclays since September 2022, Simon has been with Barclays Investment Bank since August 2014, holding the position of Director of Equity Research with a focus on European Telecoms and Global Towers, achieving a top 10 ranking (#9) in Institutional Investor in 2022. Previously, Simon progressed from Equity Research Analyst to roles including Assistant Vice President (March 2016) and Vice President (March 2019) within the same firm. Early career experiences include positions at Tesco PLC and Barclays, as well as an internship at Barclays Investment Bank. Simon holds a First Class Honours BSc in Natural Sciences and an MSc in Financial Computing from UCL.
