Mark Jeckway has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Mark currently serves as the Director of Safety, Security, and Standards at BC Transit since April 2023. From January 2017 to July 2018, Mark was the Manager of Operational Services in the Water Utility division, managing all aspects of the drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater system. From March 2013 to January 2017, they were the Leader of Health & Safety, Strategy, and Project Delivery, leading a team of Health and Safety Professionals and providing strategic and operational guidance.
Mark Jeckway started their career at the Department of National Defence in 2007 as a Human Resources Specialist, specializing in learning, staffing, HR planning, labour relations, and HR policy training. Mark served in this role until March 2013.

Mark Jeckway has a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Victoria.
