Andrew Arsham is an accomplished academic and research professional with extensive experience in biology, genetics, and genomics. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Biology at Bemidji State University since July 2015, Andrew leads the Biology Baccalaureate Partnership at North Hennepin Community College and teaches courses including Genetics and Biomedical Ethics. As a member of the Genomics Education Partnership, Andrew fosters undergraduate research in genomics and evolutionary biology. Previous roles include significant contributions at Wave 80 Biosciences, Inc., where Andrew held various leadership positions, developing multiplexed assays for Type 1 Diabetes and leading assay research initiatives. Andrew's academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's Degree in Comparative Literary Studies from Northwestern University, complemented by a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
