Christian Rubio currently serves as the Chair of the Modern Languages Department at Bentley University since July 2011, where responsibilities include organizing classes and launching a new major in Language, Culture, and Business. In addition to this role, Christian is the Honors Program Director, overseeing a comprehensive curriculum redesign, and has held various teaching and coordinator positions, focusing on Spanish Language, Culture, and Literature while managing Spanish majors and minors. Previous roles include Associate Professor of Spanish at the University of Louisiana at Monroe with significant accomplishments in study abroad programs and honors curriculum development. Christian's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Spanish Language and Literature from Columbia University, along with a Master’s degree and Bachelor's degree in Spanish. Additionally, contributions as a correspondent for ANLE help discuss Spanish language topics in the U.S., and work as an online Spanish teacher at Parkers Chapel High School highlights versatility in education. Before academia, Christian served as an Electrician's Mate in the US Navy.
