Todd Pray is the Interim Chief Technology Transfer Officer at Berkeley Lab. Todd has over 15 years of experience in the biotech and cleantech industries, including product development, project management, and business development.
Todd Pray began their career as a Scientist at Exelixis in 2003. Todd then transitioned into business development, first as a consultant for UCSF - University of California, San Francisco, and then as a Group Leader for Biochemistry at Acumen Pharmaceuticals. In 2006, they joined Amyris, Inc. as Senior Director of Product Management. During their six years at Amyris, Todd led strategic alliances and managed projects and products for bio-based fuels, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.
In 2012, Todd left Amyris to join Impossible Foods as Senior Director of Product Development. At Impossible Foods, Todd led the product team and portfolio plan, developing novel technologies to create new food products from plant-derived ingredients. Todd left Impossible Foods in 2013 to join Berkeley Lab as Interim Chief Technology Transfer Officer.
Todd Pray has a MBA from University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, a Ph.D. in Biophysics from University of California, San Francisco, and a BS in Biological Chemistry from University of Chicago.
