Jeff Cole

Jeff Cole, Ph.D. is a Senior Bioinformatics Engineer at Bio-Techne. Prior to this role, Jeff was a Postdoctoral Researcher at The University of Texas at Austin where Jeff worked on developing automated pipelines to identify novel antimicrobial peptides in bacterial genome assemblies. Jeff also worked on creating machine learning models to predict toxicity values of antimicrobial peptides and wrote a python API to interface with deep protein language models. Jeff completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology at East Carolina University after earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Samford University.
