Boomtown Accelerators
Michael Chen is currently an advisor at Boomtown Accelerators. Prior to that, they were an assistant professor at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center from July 1994 to March 2001. There, they were involved in biomedical research trying to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of prostate cancer progression in addition to clinical care. From July 1988 to June 1994, they were a resident physician at New York Hospital Cornell Medial Center where they were a resident in General Surgery and Urology. Prior to that, from July 1982 to June 1983, they were a teaching assistant at Harvard University where they were a core computer teaching assistant teaching the BASIC language. Harvard at that time had a requirement that all undergraduates had to demonstrate a fundamental knowledge of computer programming. Before that, they were a programmer at Carrier Coporation from June 1979 to August 1979.
Michael Chen completed their Doctor of Medicine (MD) at the University of Rochester and their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biochemistry at Harvard University. Michael is certified from Hogan Assessment Systems in Hogan Assessment Certification.
