Steven Johnston

Steven Johnston is currently an advisor at Boomtown Accelerators. Steven has previously worked as a consultant with FuzeAct from October 2013 to May 2017, and more recently as a leadership coach, presenter, and Theory U consultant with Pursuits Coaching from March 2017 to August 2019.

At FuzeAct, Steven worked closely with a social enterprise startup focusing on technology and engagement services supporting social responsibility, sustainability, and global citizenship. Steven helped develop strategies for business model, social media campaigns, and sales/marketing, as well as assisted with product development through research, rapid prototyping and beta release of mobile application and website. Implementing engagement and knowledge sharing strategies to effectively integrate mobile applications within organizations, Steven also partnered with One Young World to release a mobile application, and Fragile Oasis.

From September 2009 to October 2010, Steven was an Associate Manager - Vitamin Department at Sprouts Farmers Market. In this role they were responsible for all aspects of the vitamin department including sales, margins, inventory, budgeting, and team development.

As a leadership coach, presenter, and Theory U consultant with Pursuits Coaching, Steven has worked with clients such as Coca Cola, Delta Airlines, IBM, the CDC Foundation, and the United Nations Foundation. Steven has helped these organizations develop their leaders and create cultures of innovation and change.

Steven Johnston has a BA in Literature & Latin American Theirtory from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Steven also has a Coach Certification Program (NCCTP) Diploma in Ontological Coaching from the Newfield Network. In addition, they have a Co-Active Coach Training Program - Fundamentals and Fulfillment Courses certification from the Coaches Training Institute (CTI). Steven is also certified by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in U.Lab: Transforming Business, Society, and Self and by openSAP in Sustainability and Business Innovation. Lastly, they are certified by the Central Rocky Mountain Permaculture Institute in Permaculture Consultant's Design Certification and by Cultura Forestal, A.C. & Servicios Educativos y de Investigacion Social, A.C. in Desarrollo Rural Sostenible - Rural Sustainable Development.
