Yimin Jiang

Yimin Jiang is a Staff Research Scientist at 字节跳动, where responsibilities include being a founding member of the Seed-LLM project and focusing on the design and acceleration of large-scale pretraining and RLHF-based alignment. Yimin also serves as the tech lead for the AML distributed training team, supporting various business areas such as computer vision, natural language processing, speech, and recommendation systems, while proactively leading research and deployment of Sparse Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) across the organization. Previously, Yimin was a Research Intern at ByteDance's AI-Lab, contributing significantly to the development of BytePS, a high-performance training framework for large-scale deep learning. Yimin holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Tsinghua University and a Bachelor's degree from Nanjing University.
