Katie Clayton

Katie Clayton is a seasoned professional in food science and research, currently serving as a Staff Research Scientist at The Hershey Company since November 2022. Prior to this role, Katie held various positions at Litehouse Inc. from June 2014 to November 2022, culminating as a Senior Food Scientist. Earlier experience includes working as a Food Science Extension Outreach Specialist at Purdue University from August 2011 to June 2014, where responsibilities included developing food safety training materials and assisting entrepreneurs in food manufacturing regulations. Katie also gained industry experience at Diageo Global Supply and Sensient Technologies, and began her career as a Data Collection Specialist and student worker in positions related to animal processing and beverage applications. Katie holds a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from Purdue University.
