Lucia Choi

Lucia Choi currently serves as the Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice since March 2024. Prior to this role, Lucia held various positions, including Senior Attorney and Staff Attorney at Disability Rights California from November 2019 to February 2024. Additionally, Lucia was an Adjunct Professor at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles for the 2019-2020 academic year. Previous experience includes serving as an Attorney for the Shriver Housing Project LA at Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County and an Equal Justice Works Americorps Legal Fellow at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles. Early career experiences included internships at Mental Health Advocacy Services, the Pepperdine University Asylum and Refugee Clinic, the Rene Cassin Foundation, and Community Legal Services. Lucia Choi earned a Juris Doctor from Pepperdine Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UCLA.
