John Shortt

John Shortt has over three decades of experience in software development and product management. Currently a Graduate Student at Carleton University since September 2019, John also operates as a Lifetime Learner and Software Product Consultant. Prior to this, John held significant leadership roles, including Vice President of Product Development at Recognia (now Trading Central) from June 2011 to December 2018, and Program Director for AppScan Products at IBM Canada from July 2007 to June 2011. John's earlier roles include VP of Product Development at Watchfire Inc. and an Architect and Developer at Transform Research. John began a career in technology in 1987 as a Business Center Manager at CTMG/Active Systems. John holds an Hons. B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Toronto - University College, earned between 1974 and 1978.
