Filippo Menghini

Filippo Menghini is an experienced Modeling Engineer at Casale Group since September 2017, specializing in the development and maintenance of thermodynamic libraries for chemical process simulation using C++. Prior to this role, Filippo served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at EPFL from August 2016 to July 2017, focusing on mathematical modeling and high-performance computing numerical simulation of an idealized left heart, and developing an in-house C++ Finite Element library. From January 2013 to July 2016, Filippo was a Research Fellow at the University of Bologna, contributing to multiphysics simulations and the implementation of adjoint optimal control algorithms while supervising master's thesis projects. Filippo also worked as an Academic Tutor during this period. Filippo holds a Ph.D. in Energy, Nuclear and Environmental Engineering from the University of Bologna, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering from the same institution.
