Breanna Miller

Breanna Miller serves as Associate General Counsel at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since July 2022 and is the Editor in Chief of the Southern Journal of Policy and Justice since April 2021. Miller's military experience includes service as a Captain in the United States Army Reserve, with previous ranks of First Lieutenant and Second Lieutenant from May 2016 to June 2024. Prior legal internships include a Certified Legal Intern position at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and a Summer Legal Intern role at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Early career experience involved working as a Debit & Credit Memo Analyst at IBM, managing significant financial transactions and reporting. Academically, Miller holds an MBA from Wake Forest University School of Business, a Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law, a Master of Arts in English and African American Literature from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Winston-Salem State University.
