Chief Of Pediatrics at CHEO

Pranesh Chakraborty has been an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa since 2013. Prior to this, they worked at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, where they held multiple roles including Medical Director for Newborn Screening Ontario from 2007 onwards, and Medical Director for BORN Ontario from 2010 to 2017.

Pranesh Chakraborty pursued their education in a chronological manner. Pranesh began their academic journey in 1986 at the University of Toronto - New College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry. Following this, they attended McMaster University from 1990 to 1993, earning a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Pranesh then moved to Western University, where they pursued Medical Biochemistry and Pediatrics, completing their studies in 1998 and obtaining an additional degree of FRCPC. In 1998, they joined the University of Ottawa and specialized in Pediatrics, earning another degree of FRCPC before finally completing their education at the University of Toronto from 2000 to 2002, earning an FCCMG degree in Biochemical Genetics.
