Tara Heidger

Tara Heidger currently serves as the Managing Director for the Americas at M&C Saatchi World Services, a position held since May 2023. With extensive experience in international affairs and humanitarian operations, Tara has been a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations since June 2021 and has worked as a Senior Analyst for the US Army Reserve since November 2013. Previous roles include Director of Global Programs at M&C Saatchi World Services and Nonresident Fellow at the Modern War Institute at West Point. Tara's consultancy with the U.S. Department of State involved significant analysis on humanitarian issues affecting displaced populations. An academic background includes dual master’s degrees in International Affairs and Urban Planning from Columbia University, along with a Masters Certificate in Global Journalism from the University of Toronto. Research interests encompass refugee movements, conflict-related land issues, and urban housing policy, particularly in informal settlements in the Global South.
