Serge Hoogendoorn

Serge Hoogendoorn is a highly experienced academic and strategic advisor, currently serving as a Professor and Head of the Traffic Management chair at Delft University of Technology since September 2006. Hoogendoorn also holds the position of Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Professor, focusing on traffic simulation for both pedestrian and vehicular traffic. In a role as an Honorary Professor at South East University in China and as a part-time Strategic Advisor at ARANE, Hoogendoorn contributes to research management, PhD supervision, and practical applications of traffic management concepts. Additional advisory roles include serving on the Advisory Board at Famostar and as Chair at Stichting NM Magazine. Hoogendoorn has been a staff member of the TRAIL Research School since 1999 and holds a PhD in Traffic Engineering and an MSc in Mathematics, both from Delft University of Technology.
