Demetra Polycarpou

Demetra Polycarpou (LLM) is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and regulatory compliance across multiple regions, currently serving as the Head of Legal at DP World since October 2021. Prior to this role, Demetra was the General Counsel for APAC at Juul Labs, where responsibilities included market entry strategy and comprehensive regulatory assessments across key APAC markets. Earlier experience includes significant roles at Diageo, where Demetra oversaw legal compliance in Southeast Asia and led strategies for market entry in emerging markets, and at the Royal Australian Navy as a Legal Officer. Demetra holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Sydney, a Master of Laws (LLM) in Corporate and Commercial Law from UNSW, along with degrees in Military Law and Economics from the University of Melbourne and University of Sydney, respectively.
