Gustavo Maya Toro

Gustavo Maya Toro is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as a Senior Reservoir Engineer at Ecopetrol since March 2005. In this role, Gustavo has led the Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) team, focusing on the design and execution of EOR projects, including experimental feasibility, modeling, basic and detailed engineering, and monitoring. Previous experience includes positions as a Reservoir Engineer at INPESA and the National University of Colombia - Medellín, where Gustavo specialized in reservoir simulation and characterization. Gustavo holds a Ph.D. in Engineering with a focus on Enhanced Oil Recovery from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, alongside a Master’s degree in Hydrocarbons with an emphasis on EOR from the Universidad Industrial de Santander and a management specialization from the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana.
