Karan Rathod has a diverse work experience in the financial sector. Karan joined Elara Capital in 2018 and currently holds the role of Vice President. Prior to this, they served as AVP - Institutional Equity Sales and Manager - Institutional Equity Sales at the same company. Before joining Elara Capital, Karan worked at ICICI Securities as an Equity Research Associate. Their responsibilities included tracking the Capital Goods, Engineering, and Consumer Durables sectors and covering over 40 stocks. Karan also gained experience in fundamental analysis, financial modeling, and valuation of companies while working as an Equity Research Associate at Batlivala & Karani Securities India Pvt. Ltd. Additionally, Karan completed a summer internship as an Equity Research Intern at Systematix Shares & Stocks (I) Ltd. Karan began their career as an Inspection Incharge: Production at S.R.Enterprises.
Karan Rathod completed their education in a chronological order. Karan received a Master of Management Studies (M.M.S.) degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from N.L. Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research, from 2014 to 2016. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Marine Engineering from MIT, Maharashta Academy of Naval Education and Training (MANET), Pune, from 2009 to 2013.
Before pursuing their bachelor's degree, they completed their higher secondary education at Fravashi Academy from 2007 to 2009 and completed their secondary education at St. Xaviers, Nashik from 1996 to 2007.
In addition to their formal education, Karan went on to acquire additional certifications. In 2016, they obtained the NISM Research Analyst certification from NISM, and in 2015, they obtained the Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management-NCFM certification from the National Stock Exchange of India Limited.
Currently, Karan is pursuing a foundation degree from the CFA Institute, starting in 2017.
