Thomas Vance is an experienced IT professional currently serving as Helpdesk II at ELGA Credit Union since August 2019. Previously, Thomas held the position of Senior Support Specialist at Red Level for a brief period in 2019 and worked as an IT Support Specialist Tier 2 at AMOCO Federal Credit Union from March 2016 to January 2019, where responsibilities included managing helpdesk tickets and overseeing Active Directory operations. Thomas began a career in retail at IZOD, advancing from supervisor to store manager between 2012 and 2015, with a focus on employee management. Educational background includes studies at Baker College from 2007 to 2008.

ELGA Credit Union had a humble beginning, helping Consumers Energy employees that were paid below the average of other industrial workers in the 1940’s and 50’s. ELGA got its name from a contest held in 1959 to rename the credit union, replacing the previous name, Flint Division Consumers Power Company Federal Credit Union. The name incorporates the first two letters of Electrical and Gas. ELGA Credit Union has 11 branches in Genesee, Lapeer, and Saginaw counties, as well as robust online banking for computers, smart phones and tablets. We have over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs available to you at our branches, inside Flint's Hurley and McLaren hospitals, and through the Money Pass or CO-OP Networks.
