Emerging Creatives of Science
Adara Koivula is an artist and educator currently serving as an ECOS Artist Member with Emerging Creatives of Science since January 2024, contributing to a global community focused on creatively communicating scientific concepts. As an Advanced Art Instructor at ShuChih Art Studio since December 2023, Adara teaches advanced art techniques to middle and high school students. Previous experience includes a role as a Science Illustration Intern at Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District, where Adara worked on an interactive tactile exhibit, and positions as a Scenic Painter and Sculptor for California Waters and Authentic Environments. Adara holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Laguna College of Art and Design and has completed an Extended Education Program in Science Illustration at California State University, Monterey Bay.
