Ahmed Omran is a seasoned legal and compliance professional with over 15 years of experience in various roles across esteemed organizations. Currently serving as the Legal and Compliance Manager at Etihad Rail Operating Companies since July 2016, responsibilities include managing legal matters, providing advisory services, and overseeing compliance and litigation management. Previous experience includes positions as Senior Legal Consultant at PwC, where support was provided across the Middle East, and Government Relations Manager at Philip Morris International. Having also held roles in legal and government relations management at Al Ghurair Trading Group and served as a lawyer at Atef Salah Legal Firm, Ahmed offers a comprehensive background in corporate law, risk assessment, and customer service management. Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Public Law from Menoufia University in Cairo, Egypt.

Etihad Rail was established in June 2009 under Federal Law No. 2, with the mandate to manage the development, construction and operation of the UAE’s national freight and passenger railway network. The railway network will link the principal centres of population and industry of the UAE, and will form a vital part of the planned GCC railway network across the GCC.
