This is a contract role on a hybrid working basis, initially on a 6 month contract with the possibility to extend.

The Role

As GIS Administrator at euNetworks, you will use technical as well as administrative skills to ensure the GIS technology is used properly and efficiently across the company. This means you will have a full understanding and working knowledge of underlying OSP/ISP infrastructure as well as databases and software used, to manage those functions and activities. The GIS Administrator must possess the skills and abilities necessary, to ensure that all departments that use the GIS system adhere to standards set, quality of data and that strict working practices are in place and followed. The role also includes assisting the GIS Manager in interactions with external suppliers, from defining system development requirements, through to driving the delivery and integration of new functionalities with related systems used by euNetworks

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting the GIS Manager with implementing and maintaining euNetworks’ GIS system
  • Supporting all internal GIS users and managing internal GIS support cases
  • Contributing to the development of internal GIS standards and ensuring company adherence
  • Managing the quality of GIS data
  • GIS reports creation and data analysis
  • Assisting the GIS Manager in refining GIS system development requirements and driving external suppliers through the delivery cycle
  • Contributing to GIS POCs and specific customer projects related to GIS integration

 What do we want from you?

  • An engineering / telecommunications qualification with strong GIS background and/or experience working with GIS in the telecommunications area
  • Experience in telecommunications OSP / ISP infrastructure
  • In-depth knowledge of fibre planning requirements for infrastructure builds and customer connections
  • In-depth knowledge of OSP / ISP operational metrics and reporting requirements
  • Understanding of fibre standards and testing procedures
  • Understanding of telecommunications system architecture and integration principles
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
