José Pereira is a highly skilled bioinformatician with extensive experience in computational modeling and software development within the life sciences. Most recently, José served as a Senior Bioinformatician at FairJourney Biologics from February 2023 to February 2024, following a role as a Bioinformatician. Prior experience includes a Doctoral Research position at CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials from October 2018 to February 2023, where José focused on computational modeling. Additionally, José held a Research Fellowship at Universidade Aveiro, contributing to protein folding prediction software development. José earned a PhD in Biochemistry from Universidade Aveiro and participated in a Fulbright Scholarship program at Rutgers University–New Brunswick.

FairJourney Biologics is a privately established company with an outstanding track record of biotech and biopharmaceutical partners (Merus, argenX, BMS, Bayer, among others), offering a range of assets and services on antibody discovery, engineering, production, characterization up to cell line development stages. Our naïve and immune libraries from humans, rodents and llama, together with our know-how and internal technological development allow us to contribute to the pipeline of our partners on complex targets, leading to 14 known antibodies in the clinic.
